Mission Statement

The Supreme Council Lady Knights Templar of the United States, Canada and England, was formed in the year 1966 under the General Grand Encampment of Knights Templar U.S.A. and its Dependencies. The first elected Supreme Chief Counsellor was Lady Mary Matchen of the State of Michigan in 1966. Lady Matchen served in that capacity until her untimely passing in 1971. Second Chief Counsellor Lady Margaret Chaison out of the State of New York, assumed the role of Supreme Chief Counsellor until she was elected to the post in 1972. Lady Chaison served as Supreme Chief Counsellor until her untimely passing in 1986. Second Chief Counsellor Lady Mattie Cason of the State of Michigan served as Supreme Chief Counsellor until her untimely passing in 1987. Second Chief Counsellor Pansy Bailey of Texas served as Supreme Chief Counsellor until elections in 1988. In 1988 Lady Willie E. Dunn of Illinois was elected to the office of Supreme Chief Counsellor. Lady Dunn served as Supreme Chief Counsellor until her untimely passing in 1992, when she was succeeded as Supreme Chief Counsellor by Lady Elizabeth Guice of Michigan. Lady Guice served until 1998 when she was succeeded by Lady Azalee Martin of New York. Lady Martin served as Supreme Chief Counsellor until 2008. In 2008 Lady Assie Boswell of California was elected to the position of Supreme Chief Counsellor. Lady Boswell served as Supreme Chief Counsellor until 2017. In 2017 Lady Jacqueline Dixon-Beaty was elected to the Office of Supreme Chief Counsellor. Lady Dixon-Beaty served as Supreme Chief Counsellor until 2024. In 2024 Lady Careen McGhee was elected to the Office of Supreme Chief Counsellor. In 2026, Lady Gina Drinkwater was elected to the office of Supreme Chief Helena, where she remains today.
